Can we marry at Baltusrol if we are not members?
That is a question for the club rather than for us. Baltusrol on Shunpike Road is private, and its clubhouse events run on the club's own terms and calendar. Get the answer and the vendor rules in writing early, because they will shape the timeline more than anything we bring through the door.
Is the Cannon Ball House available for a ceremony?
It is the home of the Springfield Historical Society and opens to the public by appointment, so treat it as a portrait stop rather than a venue. Ten minutes on foot down Morris Avenue, with a house from 1741 and the church behind you, gives the film something no ballroom can hand over.
Where do we go for outdoor portraits if the day is hot or crowded?
The Rahway River Parkway runs along Morris Avenue at the Union border and offers water and mature trees within a few minutes of anywhere in the township. It is county parkland, so check with Union County on group size before you build a large bridal party around it.
Our reception is over the line in Union or Kenilworth. Does that change the plan?
Only the drive, and barely. The Clubhouse at Galloping Hill in Kenilworth and the halls along Vauxhall Road in Union are close enough that guests arrive together. Send us the full street address though, because there are two separate Galloping Hill venues at two different addresses.
The whole day sits on one street. Will the film feel repetitive?
Not when it is shot with intent. A three mile day is an advantage. The hours we are not spending in a car go into light, coverage and the quiet moments between events, and we vary lens and time of day rather than chasing fresh backdrops.
